Lisbon. 1998.

Franco, a Portugal-based artist, observes today’s fast-paced world through both painting and sculpture.

Her sculptural work is rooted in understanding how form evolves, dissolves, and transforms. Seeking to bridge the gap between eras, she employs an archaeological narrative to explore contemporary subjects. Franco’s sculptures translate this archaeological language, creating a timeless dialogue with her objectual forms, constantly shifting in shape and meaning across time.

Her paintings offer a contemplative gaze on fleeting moments, with light emerging as a key element. While the subjects themselves are not her primary focus, she aims to capture the mood that initially captured her eye and convey it through her lens. In doing so, she invites the viewer into her universe of collected memories, transforming her personal experience into a shared, collective one.

A graduate in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (2019), she enriched her studies through the Erasmus+ program at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in Budapest (2019) and later earned a master’s degree in Management from the Nova School of Business and Economics, Lisbon (2022). Her work has been exhibited in both Portugal and Brazil.
